The New Veterans Charter
To put on a uniform in service to our country is an extraordinary commitment; a willingness to put yourself at risk for the interests of Canada.
In 2005, to recognize this service and contribution to Canada and the world, the Government of Canada passed The Canadian Forces Members and Veterans Re-establishment and Compensation Act, often referred to as the New Veterans Charter.
The New Veterans Charter offers:
- Job placement services;
- Disability award and other allowances;
- Group health insurance;
- Rehabilitation services;
- Financial benefits;
- One-on-one case management; and
- Support for CF families.
