Having sons the age of a lot of these men who went to war played heavy on me while I was creating these compositions so it goes without saying that I must find a way to express that! In the real world of painting one can't mix oil and water but fortunately the Virtual World allows this. The young soldiers in the foreground show were created using the watercolour while the back brush strokes used several of the oils techniques found in FD Painter. With the colour I set the Palette Picker software to Analogous, Moving and the Colour to the blue/green of the German uniform from there I was able to set the colours needed to bring out the feeling. I am quite pleased with this adventure but don't ask me why the pocket watch on the young German soldier in the front because I don't know. The colour works there though...
